Park rules
Elkhart Campground has welcomed campers since 1968. These rules keep the park safe, quiet, and pleasant for everyone, so please read them before you arrive.
The rules
- The office and store open at 10 a.m. Hours are different in the off-season.
- Check-in is at 1 p.m.
- Check-out is at noon. Staying past noon has an added charge.
- Quiet hours are 11 p.m. to 8 a.m. Be considerate of your neighbors and keep radios, TVs, and music down.
- The pool is open from 10 a.m. until dark. Pool rules are posted at the pool.
- Please help us keep the restrooms clean.
- The speed limit is 10 mph. Pedestrians have the right-of-way.
- Keep pets on a leash at all times. You're responsible for cleaning up after your pet right away and for keeping their noise down. Don't let pets dig holes.
- Drugs and intoxication are not allowed. Drink alcohol only at your own campsite.
- Parents are responsible for their children's behavior. For their safety, don't let children run through other campsites. Go with small children to the restrooms, store, and pool, and make sure they know the rules.
- Bag your trash and put it in the campground dumpsters. Don't leave large appliances or furniture.
- Management is not responsible for lost personal property or for accidents of any kind.
- Clotheslines, ground tents, fireworks, and firearms are not allowed. Don't damage trees or property.
- Guests and visitors must check in at the office and pay $10 per person.
- Washing trailers, motorhomes, cars, or trucks is not allowed.
- Keep campfires in the fire rings and don't move the rings. Put your fire out with water before you go to bed.
- Ride bicycles on the roads only, and park them off the sidewalks.
- Generators are not allowed anywhere in the park.
We enforce these rules for everyone's safety, and we may ask anyone who breaks them to leave the park.

When is the campground open?
We're open every year from April 1 to mid-November. The office and store are open every day from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. during the season.
What are check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is at 1 p.m. and check-out is at noon. Staying past noon has an added charge.
How big a rig can I bring?
Every site is a level pull-through with 14 feet of overhead clearance. Depending on the site type, sites fit rigs from 65 to 80 feet long. Our 30/50 amp full hook-up sites are the longest, at up to 80 feet.
Can I run a generator?
No. Generators aren't allowed anywhere in the park.
Can I have a campfire?
Yes, in the fire rings. Please don't move the rings, and put your fire out with water before you go to bed.
Are pets welcome?
Yes. Keep pets on a leash at all times, clean up after them right away, and keep their noise down. There's a large fenced dog park for them to stretch their legs.
Is there Wi-Fi or cable TV?
Wi-Fi is free throughout the park. We don't have cable TV.
Can I fill propane at the campground?
Yes, there's a propane (LP gas) fill station on site. Ask at the office.
Can I charge an electric vehicle?
Yes, but charging an electric vehicle has an extra fee. Ask at the office.
Can friends visit me at my site?
Yes. Guests and visitors need to check in at the office and pay $10 per person.
Can I wash my RV or car at my site?
No. Washing trailers, motorhomes, cars, or trucks isn't allowed.
Can I book a cabin online?
No. Cabins are booked by phone at 574-264-2914. RV sites can be booked online.
